Cyclone Technology has launched version 5.0 of DataStream its total console management solution (September 2006). This new release incorporates a number of product enhancements which strengthen DataStream’s position as the world’s leading console management solution.

New features include the ability to create short-cuts for complex commands that would be laborious to type individually and the ability to refine condition matches by specifying a secondary match string, along with the record it should appear in, within the event block.

In response to market demand we have also recently launched netPrefect, a new solution which has the ability to monitor and control every device on an IT network, regardless of its location, platform or traffic type. ” said Phil Baxter, Technical Director.

DataStream provides ‘out of band’ monitoring and management of not only computers, but other important crucial hardware such as routers, network bridges and uninterruptible power supplies as well as software applications. It is currently being used by organisations throughout the world to manage over 13,000 devices.
